Welcome to our Vintage Pattern Shop. On this page you will find vintage sewing patterns from the 1950's. The fashion of the fifties was conservative. Ladies wore dresses with pinched waists and full skirts. They craved high style after the war and patterns were made to copy the Couture Designs of Dior's New Look, Balenciaga and Chanel. Slim pencil skirts as well as full circle poodle skirts were popular. Skirtwaist dresses and wrap dresses for day and bombshell wiggle dresses and strapless gowns with full, floaty, tulle skirts for evening.
