Another
amazing Carnaby St. find!
This sexy little set is by Lee Bender for BUS STOP!
Jewel tone
green in a matte crepe acetate nylon blend with a shiny finish at the
waist.
Sexy halter
top that buttons down the front with self covered buttons has a bias cut
peplum. Narrow pencil skirt zips up the side and has 2 13"
slits up the sides.
EXCELLENT
condition. The only thing that keeps this from getting a 'perfect'
rating is that the skirt has tiny darts at the front and back and those
seams have pulled just a tiny bit but they are hidden under the peplum of
the top and it would also be a very easy fix.

From the
Vintage Fashion Guild Label Resource:
"Bus
Stop was one of the London boutiques that sprang up in the late 60s. It
was started by Lee Bender (along with husband Cecil) in 1968 as a retail
outlet for her manufacturing business. According to Bender, "We chose
the name 'Bus Stop' because it was so identifiably British; and red
because it was the colour of telephone kiosks, pillar boxes, and London
buses." In 1969 they located next to Biba.
Bus Stop eventually
became a chain of twelve stores, located throughout Great Britain. This
chain was bought by "French Connection" in 1979. Lee and Cecil
Bender started a new boutique in London called Arcade in 1982."
